Apartheid is a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination that explicitly required dominance of the white minority over the black majority. It denied basic human rights and freedoms to anyone in South Africa that wasn't white.
You're grossly minimizing a major problem by comparing it to a car color...

It's not much different than if Truman or Eisenhower had welcomed Nazi war criminals as refugees, while at the same time refusing status to the Jews that had been persecuted by those Nazis...
But considering the pro-Nazi stance of MAGA, I guess this comparison doesn't have the impact that I would have hoped...

Or put another way... they're hesitant to give a blank check of refugee status to the white people that were behind African apartheid, when there's an explicit condition that no black Africans will be given consideration.
Do you think it's fair for Trump to give blank check acceptance to any white African, while refusing acceptance to black Africans, based exclusively on their race?

Episcopal Group Quits Refugee Program over White South African Arrivals
An Episcopal group is quitting a taxpayer-funded refugee program because President Donald Trump is importing white South Africans whose lives are threatened. "Just over two weeks ago, the federal government informed Episcopal Migration Ministries that under the terms of our federal grant, we are expected to resettle white Afrikaners from South Africa whom the U.S. government has classified as refugees," said the May 12 letter from Sean W. Rowe, the presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church.
